Coming March 6, 2010! The 20th Annual Rehoboth Beach, DE Chocolate Festival.  The festival will be held at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center with the theme "A Day For Chocolate Lovers. " The festival is sponsored by Rehoboth Beach Main Street and the Friends of the Rehoboth Beach Public Library. 

The baking contest will feature more restaurant entries than ever before- to be announced!  It’s a fabulous day of chocolate, with tastes galore, vendors, a raffle, kids games and much more!  Businesses: If interested in being a vendor, please call 302-227-2772.

Tastings start at 11:30 am and last until the chocolate runs out or 3:30 pm. Admission is only $2.00 and you can buy as many tastes as you like! it's all you can eat! Sorry but no carry out is permitted. Children under 5 get in for free.  For those who desire lunch in between chocolate appetizers and desserts, Main Street will provide All-American hot dogs and drinks. It’s a day of fun for the whole family!

Baking Contest

At the heart of the festival is the chocolate Baking Contest, open to anyone who wants to enter. Download the official baking contest entry form here. You may enter in one of five categories:

• Restaurants
• Bakery
• Professional/Chef
• Amateur
• Children Under 12
• Showpiece 

Prizes and ribbons in each category are given for the following sub-categories:

• Cookies
• Brownies
• Pies
• Cheesecake
• Candy
• Cakes
• Most Unusual

Prizes include downtown gift certificates, ads in the local press, and ribbons, ribbons, ribbons!  You can register on the morning of the festival. Just bring your entries to Convention Hall between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m for judging.
