Thank you for a wonderful Fourth!

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Main Street Fireworks Committee we would like to express sincere thanks to all of the wonderful folks who helped make the 2010 Rehoboth Beach Main Street fireworks such a success.
 
Despite reports of other cities canceling displays and places having difficulty raising funds for their celebrations, the people and businesses of Rehoboth Beach came through for us.
 
We had over 400 individuals, couples and businesses donate to the fireworks this year and we are so very grateful. Each and every one will be listed in an ad to run in the local Cape Gazette paper shortly. In the meantime, we cannot say thank you enough.  If you meant to donate and didn't prior to the show, but you enjoyed the fireworks and would like to contribute, please mail a tax-deductible amount to RBMS Fireworks, PO Box 50, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
 
To our major donors Funland, Grotto Pizza, Nicola Pizza, Jack Lingo Realtors, Country Club Estates Property Owners Association, Jolly Trolley, Paul & Anne Michele Kuhns, Peninsula Dental, Prudential Gallo Realtors, and Sussex County Council- George B. Cole, who have donated thousands upon thousands of dollars to the fireworks effort over the years, you are truly the backbone of the show and so very generous in giving back to the community.
 
And thanks also goes to the hardworking Fireworks Committee members, Rehoboth Beach Main Street Staff, Zambelli Fireworks and Staff, Rehoboth Police Department, Delaware State Police, Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Dept., Auxiliary Fire Cos, the Beach Patrol, City Parking Dept. Staff, the Public Works Department, the Buildings & Grounds Department, the U.S. Coast Guard, DE Fire Marshall, EMS Staff, DART Buses, DelDOT, Kiwanis Club, T&K Patchett Transportation, Jolly Trolley, Rehoboth Bandstand, all of the wonderful volunteers & fundraisers, the downtown businesses & residents, the Mayor and Commissioners and the City of Rehoboth Beach and surrounding towns' services.  The task is always huge and everyone did a magnificent job.

Come celebrate Independence Day Downtown!

July 4th Fireworks are presented by Main Street & Zambelli Internationale.  Every year on the July 4th weekend, more than 80,000 people gather on the boardwalk and shoreline in Rehoboth Beach for a marvelous fireworks display. 

Monday, July 4th, 2011
8-9 p.m. a touring show band playing at the bandstand by Chesapeake Silver Coronet Brass Band
9:15-ish -  a spectacular Fireworks display visible from the beach and boardwalk in Rehoboth and up and down the coast. 
After Fireworks- The Funsters will be preforming at the Bandstand

Please note: Fireworks could go off as early as 8:00 PM if weather is threatening.  An early start will be due to emergency procedures, keeping in mind the safety of the public.  The rain date is the following night, July 5.  Please call 302-227-2772 for weather updates and plan to arrive in town early.

Easy in, Easy out!

Use the Shuttle Service from Route One at the field between County Bank & Jungle Jims.  Just look for the signs!  Buses start at  5 p.m. and bring people into town by 8:45 p.m.; then the shuttle runs again after the fireworks until past 11 pm or until everyone is out of town. The Jolly Trolley Shuttle will operate 8:00 AM until around 2:00 AM.  The regular route will be altered between 6-11:00 PM while Rehoboth Avenue is closed.  The Jolly Trolley will have a stop on Christian Street, uptown, behind Jack Lingo Realtor.
