Downtown Oktoberfest
The wurst is the best! Downtown Rehoboth Beach, DE Celebrates Oktoberfest! September 24-26, 2010. Participating restaurants will sign on to participate with special menus, special Oktoberfest beer and a salute to well-brewed beer, sausages and much more. The event, presented by Rehoboth Beach Main Street, will bring you the best in German cuisine coupled with a great party atmosphere, terrific music and the raising of a beer stein or three or four- with in the participating restuarants! Oktoberfest is celebrated in Germany beginning the end of September with a two-week beer bash, dancing, and oom-pah bands. Rehoboth restaurants get into the act this year from Friday, September 24 through Sunday, September 26 to continue a new tradition downtown with the 3rd Annual Oktoberfest! Turning downtown into an Alpine village, while cooking up recipes for Sauerbraten, Bratwurst, Weinerschnitzel and some incredibly creative takes on traditional German food include the best of downtown restaurants (to be announced). 24th Annual AIDS Walk Delaware
On October 3rd, AIDS Delaware and Delaware HIV Consortium will host the 24th Annual AIDS Walk Delaware in Grove Park, Rehoboth Beach. Registration begins at Noon and step-off is 2:00 PM. The 5K-walk is dog friendly, with short cuts if needed. Proceeds from the event support local HIV/AIDS programs. AIDS Memorial Quilts will be on display in the park and HIV/AIDS fact signs will be placed along the walk route. Walkers are expected to collect contributions. Community Unity Spaghetti Dinner: A Main Street Event
Community Unity Spaghetti Dinner - December 5 from 4:00 PM- 7:00 PM- at the Convention Center, presented by Main Street and provided by the famous Nicola's Pizza. It's a fantastic meal, featuring spaghetti, meatballs, a salad bar, beverages and awesome desserts. There is entertainment by the Tim Laushey Trio plus a Santa for kids of all ages. Hometown Christmas Parade
Monday evening along Rehoboth Avenue beginning at 6:30 p.m. A local tradition, the parade will feature more music, more costumes and more fun than ever, with volunteers from the Fire Department, Police, Public Works and community organizations. Dozens of local groups, bands and participants have already signed up. Line-up starts at 4:00 The parade begins at State Road, travels East to the Boardwalk and the turns West and goes back up to the Convention Center.
